Frequently asked questions
What areas do you cover?
I’m based in Pocklington and cover surrounding villages within a 10–15 mile radius. If you're unsure whether I cover your area, just get in touch!
Do you take away garden waste?
Yes I can remove green waste for an additional charge. Smaller amounts can go in your green bin if you prefer, but I also offer shredding and removal services for larger hedge cuttings or clearance jobs.
Do I need to be home for the job?
Not necessarily as long as I have clear instructions and access, I can carry out most work without you being home. I’ll always follow up with before/after photos if you're not around.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the job. I offer fair, transparent quotes based on the time and tools involved. Simple mowing or weeding jobs might be charged by the hour, while larger jobs are quoted up front.
Can I book regular maintenance?
Absolutely I offer ongoing maintenance plans for mowing, weeding, and hedge care. We can tailor the schedule to your garden’s needs and your preferences.
What tools do you use?
I use professional-grade equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality results including a Hayter roller mower for stripes, Echo hedge trimmer and blower, and a Stihl multitool for tilling and lawn care. All basic gardening tools also.
Can you rescue overgrown gardens?
Yes one of my most popular services is taming overgrown gardens and helping clients reclaim their outdoor space. I bring the right tools and approach to deal with even the wildest patches.
Is hedge cutting allowed during nesting season?
Yes, but I always check thoroughly for active nests and won’t carry out work if one is found. I take wildlife protection seriously.
Are you insured?
Yes I’m fully insured for all the services I offer, including hedge cutting and machinery use.
How can I pay you?
Bank transfer is preferred, and you'll receive a clear invoice with payment details. Other methods can be arranged if needed.
